ISLAMABAD: A further 1,895 people have been infected with the global coronavirus in Pakistan, bringing the total number of infected people to 488,529.
According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 39 more deaths have been reported from coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country, bringing the death toll to 10,350. In Pakistan, 442,457 patients of coronavirus have recovered and 35,722 are undergoing treatment.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 4,124 people lost their lives while 3,611 in Sindh, 1,675 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 428 in Islamabad, 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 185 in Balochistan and 226 people have lost their lives in Azad Kashmir.

The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 38,263, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 59,484, in Sindh 218,597, in Punjab 140,714, in Balochistan 18,247, in Azad Kashmir 8,357 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4 A total of 867 people have been infected with the coronavirus.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, the rate of coronavirus positive cases across the country has risen to 5.92 percent. The coronavirus positive case rate in Karachi is higher at 13.84 percent. Hyderabad has 8.79 percent, Swat 7.89, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 2.14, Balochistan 4.95, Islamabad 3.98, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5.87, Punjab 4.44, and Sindh 8.40 percent positive cases.
