ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has claimed that he was not aware of any statement a undertaking having been made before the Supreme Court on behalf of the “senior leadership of the PTI” or on his behalf during the course of 25.05.2022 (May 25 Long March) , nor of the details, including as regards the D Chowk area, of the order passed by this Honourable Court around 06:00 pan. on 25.05.2022.
In a rejoinder submitted to the Supreme Court on Monday, he stated that he had great respect for judiciary, and he could not think of violating any court’s order. PTI chairman also sought time from the apex court for the submission of detailed reply in the case until November 3.
In his detailed reply, Imran Khan said he was not aware of any statement a undertaking having been made before this Honourable Court on behalf of the “senior leadership of the PTI” or on his behalf during the course of 25.05.2022 , nor of the details, including as regards the D Chowk area, of the order passed by this Honourable Court around 06:00 pan. on 25.05.2022.
He said “The Answering Respondent solemnly submits that he holds this August Court in the highest regard and that no question arises of his knowingly violating an undertaking made before this Honourable Court or of his not obeying an order made by this Honourable Court.”
He prayed that in view of the foregoing, the Answering Respondent may kindly be allowed further time to file reply to the titled Criminal Original Petition as desired by this Honourable Court through its order dated 26.10.2022. Any other order deemed to be just and appropriate may also kindly be passed.
