ABU DHABI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to offer his condolences on the demise of the brother of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for the UAE to offer condolences on the death of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan’s brother.
The premier departed on a day-long visit where he offered condolences over Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan’s death on behalf of the entire nation, the government and the leadership. He was accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
During his meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed at the presidential palace, PM Shehbaz conveyed profound sympathies and condolences which were received with great warmth.
The Gulf country has declared three days of mourning after the death of Sheikh Saeed, who passed away on July 27. In 2022, PM Shehbaz also visited the UAE to offer condolences on the demise of former president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
