RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir held a telephone conversation with the President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan had a telephone conversation with Army Chief General Asim Munir, in which bilateral defense relations and military cooperation were discussed.
The ISPR said that the need for further promotion of mutual defense and military cooperation was emphasized between the Army Chief and the UAE President. On the other hand, the Punjab government authorized the police to shoot miscreants entering government buildings.

The caretaker chief minister has directed the police to take strict action against those who pelted stones. The Chief Minister of Punjab ordered the police to shoot the miscreants who entered the government building and said that those who disturb peace and order should be dealt with with iron hands and directed to take strict action.
