ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will hear important cases today for which Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed has reached the Supreme Court Karachi Registry.
According to details, a three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed will hear cases in the public interest at the Karachi Registry.
The illegal China cutting case of 35,000 plots in Karachi, the operation against illegal encroachments, and the KCR (Karachi Circular Railway) rehabilitation case will also be heard.

The railway land acquisition case will also be heard in the Supreme Court. Notices have been sent to Sindh Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and Commissioner Karachi for a hearing of cases.
A three-member bench of the apex court will also hear the contempt case against provincial minister Saeed Ghani. The Chief Justice reached the Karachi Registry and started the proceedings.
Earlier, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed left for Indonesia for a three-day visit while Justice Umar Ata Bandial became the acting Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Eight days ago today, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Gulzar Ahmed left for Indonesia for a three-day official visit. In his place, Justice Umar Ata Bandial took over as the acting Chief Justice.
