The incident took place on February 9, when the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) raided Armaghan’s residence in Defence. During the raid, the suspect strongly resisted and opened fire, injuring AVCC DSP Ahsan Zulfiqar and his guard.
After several hours of effort, strategy, and persistent attempts, the police finally managed to arrest Armaghan. The case is under investigation, and the footage has been included as evidence in the case.
Notably, the investigation unveiled earlier that Armaghan operated a fraudulent call center from his residence, equipped with advanced surveillance systems and guarded by over 40 security personnel.
His criminal history includes at least six prior cases involving violence and violations of the Anti-Terrorism Act. Following his arrest, forensic evidence, including bloodstains matching Mustafa’s DNA and the recovered iron rod, strengthened the prosecution’s case.
A medical board was constituted to exhume Mustafa’s remains for identification and forensic analysis. The case has ignited public outrage, highlighting concerns over law enforcement efficacy and the need for justice in heinous crimes.
