ISLAMABAD: A case has been registered against Shahnawaz, the son of journalist Ayaz Amir, for the murder of his wife.
According to the FIR, the accused had locked himself in the room after seeing the police in the house. At the time of arrest, there were blood marks on the shirt and hands of the accused.
It has been stated in the FIR that the accused killed his wife by stabbing her with a dumbbell during the quarrel, which the accused has also confessed to the police.
According to the FIR, the police recovered the body of the victim from the bathtub of her house on the identification of the suspect. In the FIR on behalf of the police, it has been said that the victim had injury marks on her head.

Earlier, Shahnawaz Amir said that he “thought” his spouse was having an affair with someone else.
According to sources, during the preliminary investigation of the case, the suspect told the police that he had tied the knot with the deceased three months ago and that she was his third wife.
