Can you only delete your 'Threads' account by deleting your Instagram profile?

Did you know once you create a ‘Threads’ account, you cannot delete it unless you delete your Instagram account?

It has turned out that Threads users can only delete their accounts with a few rules and conditions applied as according to a note in Threads states: “You may deactivate your Threads profile at any time, but your Threads profile can only be deleted by deleting your Instagram account.

However, this note also implies that the users can thankfully deactivate their Threads account without affecting their Instagram account.

Threads was launched on July 5 and has since surpassed the 30 million users mark untill now, which is the fastest growth any online platform has ever witnessed to date.

However, many people may have signed up without reading the terms and conditions, which is something hardly anyone does anyway. Threads requires users to have an Instagram account as well, since it is built on the other app. However, as it turns out, the integration goes deeper than that.
