PESHAWAR: Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), has expanded route DR-14 with six additional stops along Nasir Bagh Road to facilitate commuters.
According to TransPeshawar spokesperson Sadaf Kamil, the public requested the addition of these new stops. Masjid Abu Hurairah, Bangash Park, PDA Office, Abu Bakr, Masjid Umar Farooq, and Professor Model Town are the new stops. The total number of stops on this route is currently 22, after the addition of these stops.
From Islamia College, this route serves DHA, with stops at Naseer Teaching Hospital, DHA, Professor Model Town, Badizai, Regi Model Town, Masjid Abu Hurairah, Zone 3 Ground, Government Girls Primary School, Bangash Park, Masjid Hamza, PDA Office, Masjid Umar Farooq, Masjid Khalid bin Waleed, Masjid Abu Bakr, and Askari-VI Phase-2 and Phase-1.According to a TransPeshawar representative, these modifications have been made for commuters’ greater comfort and convenience.
It is worth mentioning that KP government has set aside Rs 3 billion in subsidies to cover the operation cost of Peshawar BRT.
