British-Pak businessman aims to become Prime Minister of UK

LONDON: A consulting judges asked British-Pakistani businessman Ali Shah about his future plans at an award ceremony in London for the event of Entrepreneur of the Year 2019. His answer left many in surprise when Ali Shah said he confidently said, “My next plan is to become the Prime Minister of UK.”

Ali Shah had won an award in the “Scale-up” category and his self-assurance came from his journey. He turned the fate of a failed travel agency – Bookable Holiday. In the past fifteen years, his hard-work and dedication has made Rs. 66 million turnover of the company per year. Shah’s company is not limited to UK but it has offices in American, Sri Lanka, Spain, Bangkok and Pakistan.

While speaking to media, Ali Shah said, “My motto is to work hard and enjoy the work.” He further said, “If you do not love what you do, things will not turn out favorable.”

One of the Shah’s achievements is to bring British Airways back to Pakistan in the following year. After the horrific bombing in the country’s capital, the airline had suspended its operation back in 2008.

“It took us a while”, added Ali Shah. “But we have successfully brought British Airways to Pakistan and we are running the complete setup of the airline from my office”, he further added.
