The Cambridge O- and A-Level examinations scheduled for 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Lahore have been canceled due to security concerns and potential Indian drone threats, British Council sources confirmed.
The cancellation applies only to Lahore, while exams in Karachi, Islamabad, and other cities will continue as scheduled.
Separately, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has postponed all examinations scheduled for Thursday, May 8, in Azad Kashmir, citing the deteriorating security situation.
A notification issued by the university states that exams in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, and Rawalakot regions have been rescheduled to June 17, 2025.
Both decisions reflect heightened caution amid regional tensions and fears of cross-border escalations.
