“Hamare Baarah” is co-produced by Birender Bhagat, Ravi S Gupta, Sheo Balak Singh, and Sanjay Nagpal, with Trilok Nath Prasad as co-producer and Kamal Chandra directing. The movie depicts Muslim women as inferior beings and mere baby-making machines, a narrative that has provoked a strong backlash from users on social media.
Amid the controversy, veteran Bollywood actor Annu Kapoor has sought protection from the Mumbai Police after receiving death threats directed at the cast and crew of “Hamare Baarah.”
The film’s producers have also expressed deep concern, revealing that their families and friends have been targeted with threats. The police have assured them of their safety.
