QUETTA: A powerful explosion ripped through a security check post in the provincial capital on Sunday, injuring at least two people. The explosion took place as the city geared up to welcome the exhibition match in connection with Pakistan Super League (PSL) event.

According to information gathered by MM News, the blast took place at Musa check post, Gulistan Road in Quetta, sending a wave of panic among the local population.
Security forces and rescue worker rushed to the scene after which five of those injured in the blast were shifted to Benazir Hospital. Those injured have been identified as Usman s/o Fazal Dad, Qaim Khan s/o Khan Muhammad, Fazal Muhammad s/o Abdul Qadeer, Muhammad Anwar s/o Sultan Shah, and Thomas.
A cordon siege has been laid off around the area while security personnel started collecting evidences from the blast site.
