Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for double explosion occurred outside two clubs in Chandigarh, including one owned by rapper Badshah.
A Facebook post, allegedly written by Goldy Brar, a Canada-based terrorist associated with the Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the blasts alongside gang member Rohit Godara.
The explosions occurred Monday night outside Seville Bar and Lounge, owned by singer Badshah, and De’Orra Club, operated by local businessmen.
The post, which remains unverified, alleged that the club owners were contacted for “protection money” but did not respond. It warned that the explosions were intended to send a message that ignoring such demands could lead to consequences.
Police are conducting a detailed investigation, while there has been no immediate response from the clubs’ owners. CCTV footage captured a man throwing suspected crude bombs at the establishments before fleeing. The blasts shattered glass windows but caused no injuries.
Lawrence Bishnoi is currently held in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail on charges related to cross-border drug smuggling. Goldy Brar, whose real name is Satinderjit Singh, operates the gang from Canada and was designated a terrorist by the Indian government earlier this year.
