The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has postponed the XI and XII class examination scheduled to start from April 28.
According to a statement issued by the board, the Inter exams will now start from May 5.
The statement said that the change in the exam date was made for two reasons. One reason is the ongoing process of giving grace marks in the Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics papers to all students of the Science, Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering and Science General Groups of the Intermediate Part I Examinations 2024 in the light of the recommendations of a special committee.
The education board stated that the second reason is the ongoing Matriculation exams, due to which some centers are not available for the inter-examinations.
The statement further said that students and parents have been requested to continue their preparations according to the new schedule.
It should be noted that currently, matriculation examinations are taking place across Sindh province.
