Indian journalist Barkha Dutt recently met with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore, Pakistan.
The visit coincides with Pakistan’s preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, which will take place in Islamabad on Tuesday and Wednesday .
The SCO summit is a significant event, bringing together prime ministers and senior officials from member countries, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Iran’s First Vice President. Notably, India’s External Affairs Minister and China’s Premier Li Qiang will also attend the summit .
Premier Li Qiang’s visit to Pakistan marks the first visit by a Chinese premier in 11 years and aims to strengthen the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) cooperation .
With international media representatives arriving in Pakistan to cover the event, this summit is expected to be a crucial platform for regional cooperation and dialogue.
