At least six terrorists were killed by security forces, while four others were wounded as their attempt to launch an attack on a security check post failed in the Kalat District of Balochistan province.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported the operation, stating, “On the night between 15 and 16 November 2024, terrorists attempted to attack a security forces’ check post in the general area of Shah-e-Mardan in the Kalat District,” in a statement issued on Saturday.
According to the ISPR statement, “Our troops fought gallantly, as a result of which six terrorists were neutralized, and four others were injured. However, during the intense exchange of fire, seven brave sons of the soil, having fought valiantly, embraced martyrdom.”
The ISPR further mentioned that a sanitization operation was carried out to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. It emphasized that security forces, in collaboration with the nation, remain resolute in thwarting attempts to disrupt peace and stability in Balochistan.
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) stated, “Such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.” The spokesperson also highlighted the importance of ensuring the nation’s security. Saturday’s attack came three days after security forces eliminated at least four terrorists, including a “high-value target,” during an operation in the Kech District of Balochistan.
