NROWAL: Around five thousands Sikh pilgrims, local as well as foreigners, are participating in the Baisakhi Mela celebrations at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur, Narowal on Tuesday.
In a statement, Spokesperson of Evacuee Trust Property Board Amir Hashmi said that arrangements have been made for the stay of Sikh pilgrims and to perform religious rites at the Gurdwara in connection with the Baisakhi Mela.
He said a large number of Indian Sikh pilgrims will also reach Kartarpur via Kartarpur Corridor to participate in the Baisakhi Mela.
The integrated check post (ICP) of the Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 November 2019 for facilitating a smooth, visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib.
