A girl student of Bahauddin Zakariya University died on the spot when a speedy bus crushed her near Saidan Bypass area of Multan on Tuesday.
Sources said that the female student was killed due to carelessness of the driver of the university bus as he failed to control the vehicle due to over-speeding.
After the accident, the driver of the vehicle escaped from the scene.
A team of Gulgasht Colony Police Station reached the site of the accident and completed all necessary procedure.
In a separate tragic incident that occurred at Tarbela Dam in Haripur, first-year student, Mohammad Imad, son of Mohammad Owais lost his life.
According to sources of rescue 1122, Imad was on a recreational trip with his father to Ghazi Barrage Lake when he stopped to rest under a hill near Chandni Chowk Colony. Suddenly, a landslide struck, crushing him to death. His funeral prayer was offered at Chandi Chowk Tarbela Dam Ground.
