Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has formally declared Iran’s victory in the recent war involving the United States and Israel.
Addressing the nation through a televised speech and a post on social media platform X, Khamenei congratulated the Iranian people and said the US had gained nothing from its intervention.
According to Khamenei, the United States entered the war after sensing the imminent collapse of the Israeli state. “America only intervened when it realized that the Zionist regime would face total annihilation,” he stated. “They acted to save Israel, but ultimately failed.”
The Iranian leader said that Iran had retaliated powerfully by directly striking American assets in the region. Referring to Iran’s attack on the Al Udeid Air Base, Khamenei noted, “We inflicted significant damage on one of America’s most vital military installations.”
He called the strike, a slap on the face of Washington and said it highlighted Iran’s growing regional reach.
Khamenei confirmed that the US demanded Iran surrender during the conflict, but Tehran stood firm. “There was no question of surrender,” he said. “We delivered a firm and crushing response that shattered the enemy’s expectations.”
The Supreme Leader warned that any future acts of aggression would be met with decisive force. “Iran has access to key American military centers in the region,” he said. “If any new aggression occurs, our response will be swift and unforgettable.”
Khamenei also hinted that Iran’s strike capabilities could be used again if necessary. “We have the means to act, and we will not hesitate to protect our nation.”
Referring to the American pressure for surrender during the conflict, Khamenei said Iran’s history proves its resilience. “This nation has never bowed to foreign pressure. We choose dignified resistance over disgraceful submission,” he said.
