ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has claimed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan used to brand those involved in horse trading as ‘Mushrik’ (Polytheist), but the recent spate of audio leaks has revealed that he himself was committing Polytheism.
Addressing a news conference here on Friday, she leveled a series of allegations against Imran Khan, accusing him of creating chaos and anarchy in the country. The same allegations, it may be mentioned here, have been leveled by other government leaders in recent days.
Maryam Aurangzeb went on alleging that Imran Khan caused harm to Pakistan at the international level, chanting anti-US slogans in the public but in-camera refrained everyone from naming that country.
She said in the recent audio leaks, Imran Khan was heard playing with Cypher, manipulating meeting minutes, and purchasing MNAs.
She said PTI never denied any audio, nor did they challenge ECP’s foreign funding verdict. She further said that Imran Khan should tender apology for conspiracies he hatched [against nation and country].
Referring to Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, she said none of them was named in Panama Papers revelations, and the court verdict for Maryam Nawaz was given on merit.
