PESHAWAR: Security forces thwarted an attack on their outpost in Khyber district last night, killing at least one terrorist on the spot.

According to details gathered from unofficial sources, a group of terrorists attacked an FC outpost in Shalobar area of Khyber district. The attack was bravely foiled by FC personnel during which an FC jawan was injured.

After foiling the attack, the FC kicked off a search operation in the area during which they found a body of a slain terrorist, who was later identified as Wasif, a militant of banned TTP.
Latest information suggested that the search operation in Shalobar continued till the filing of this report.
