KARACHI: Sindh High Court has extended the plea of Pakistan People Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah till 16th January in the assets case.
SHC judges Justice Naimatullah and Justice Khadim Hussain conducted the hearing of the plea over the bail in the assets case against Khursheed Shah.
The lawyer of Shah informed the court that his client did not receive any notice for today’s hearing neither the petitioner was informed about his bail being suspended. Upon this, the court suspended Shah’s release order till the next hearing for almost a month.
Earlier on 17th December, Shah was granted bail by the accountability court, Sukkur in the same case and ordered him to submit a surety bond of Rs. 5 million.
On 20th December, the accountability court decided to begin the hearing of the assets case against Shah once again from 24th December i.e. from tomorrow.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor filed a reference against Khursheed Shah based on corruption worth one billion 24 million rupees. His family is also included in the case.
