KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has extended the bail of former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon till 7th April in the assets case.
SHC Justice Umar Siyal conducted the hearing in which the judge rejected the National Accountability Bureau’s reply over amendments in the bureau law.
The judge remarked the NAB’s counsel that it was not the right response over the amendments in NAB law. To this, the NAB’s counsel replied that they would submit the complete report in another case next week.
Sharjeel Memon was arrested by the NAB in 2017 and remained in jail for 20 months. The assets case accuses him and other suspects of the same case.
According to the NAB, the accused persons are facing over Rs2.27 billion corruption charges.
