Mustafa Memon accuses old friend Asif Zardari of land grabbing, death threats

KARACHI: Ahmed Mustafa Memon, a prominent businessman of Karachi, has written a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief of Army Staff in which he has accused Asif Ali Zardari of making him hostage through his ADC Jalali and Ali Hassan Brohi for 4 hours at Bilawal House and tried to get his lands named after his frontman Muhammad Siddique Adam Jee and some of lands and shops and petrol pumps were also taken away.

In the letter, appealing to the Chief of Army Staff, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief Justice to take notice, Ahmed Mustafa Memon accused Asif Ali Zardari of occupying his four petrol pumps, CNG pumps, 65 shops and precious land through Ali Hassan Brohi and threatened to kill me. He further wrote in the letter that Karachi police was supporting the occupation mafia.

Ahmed Mustafa Memon wrote that while he was out of Pakistan, an attempt was made to seize his petrol pump in his absence and a false FIR was lodged against him at the police station. He was not present in the country at the time.

Following this letter, Ahmed Mustafa Memon took his case to the Sindh High Court under Constitutional Petition No. No / 211/2022. In which he made Sindh Home Department, Senior Superintendent of Police East, Senior Superintendent of Police Malir, SHO Ali Brohi, Allauddin Jatoi and Khan Jatoi as parties.

The High Court issued a restraining order regarding all the lands and petrol pumps and ordered that all the relevant properties be handed over to the owner on but instead of handing over the land to the original owner despite the order of the High Court, Ahmed Mustafa Memon’s restaurants, petrol pumps, CNG pumps and more than 65 shops have been bulldozed. Ahmed Mustafa Memon and his father Mustafa Memon are also reportedly receiving dire threats.

Ahmed Mustafa Memon’s lawyer, while approaching the court against not ending the occupation and violating the court order, said that the occupation of 2,000 acres of land of class 434 of Deh Mehran of Malir Scheme 33 is not being released. In addition, 3,000 acres of Naklas 105 land of Deh Thamong of Site Super Highway Scheme 33 should also be returned. After which the Additional Registrar Sindh High Court has issued notices to the parties on March 8, in which they were summoned to the court on March 10 along with the documents of the above two lands.

Ahmed Mustafa Memon further said that he and his father were 40 years old friends of Asif Ali Zardari and they were considered as very close friends of him but the PPP co-chairman did not pay any attention and taken over their lands worth at least Rs 8 billion and since they have gone to the High Court they have started demolishing my buildings and hotels.

Ahmed Memon, son of Mustafa Memon has revealed in a letter to Corps Commander Karachi that he has two petrol pumps on National Highway running under the name of New Super Trucking and Filling Station. On February 19, 2022 Ali Brohi accompanied by 2o to 25 unidentified armed men came to our petrol pump and took away Rs. 438.98 million including cash, equipment, machinery, diesel, petrol, licensed weapons.

In the petition addressed to DG Rangers, Ahmed Mustafa further wrote that they also called the 15 police but the they remained a silent spectator and after that a petition was lodged at the concerned police station on which no case was registered and no petition was received. He requested DG Rangers to get rid of the occupation mafia and allow him and his family to do business peacefully and take legal action against the said occupation group.

Several attempts were made to speak to the spokesperson Asif Ali Zardari in this regard but he refused to give any position on the issue.
