Olympic champion and javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has extended birthday wishes to his “friend and fellow athlete” Neeraj Chopra – the Indian javelin thrower from whom Arshad snatched the title of ‘Olympic champion’ at Paris Olympics 2024.
Chopra was Arshad’s competitor and the fan-favourite javelin thrower for the Paris Olympics 2024 as many believed he would be the one to carry the gold home. However, Pakistani thrower Arshad Nadeedm outplayed him with a record-breaking throw of 92.97 meter.
Arshad always speaks highly of Chopra and considers him his ‘mentor’ in javelin throwing. Their friendship has been highly appreciated by people in both countries.
