RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s visit to Bahrain, meeting with the Crown Prince of Bahrain, Deputy Supreme Commander, Prime Minister Shehzad Salman bin Hammad and senior political and military leadership, agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation.
According to ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Bahrain with Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. The Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, met with Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hammad, while the Army Chief also met with the Chief of Bahrain’s Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to the Pakistan Army spokesman, issues of mutual interest and bilateral security and defense issues were discussed during the meetings and it was also agreed to further strengthen Pak-Bahrain security relations.
Earlier in the day, a US delegation led by the US Assistant Secretary of Defense met with the military leadership at General Headquarters and reiterated their commitment to further strengthen Pak-US strategic relations.
