SAN FRANCISCO: Apple has planned a self-driving car till 2024, efforts with the self-driving car system and a “breakthrough battery technology”.
Apple has named the project ‘Titan’ which has progressed inconsistently since 2014 when it began to build its own automobile from the scratch.
Formerly, the tech canceled the initiative to concentrate on software at one stage and reassessed its priorities. In 2018, Doug Field, an Apple veteran who had served at Tesla, agreed to supervise the project and laid off 190 team members in 2019.
Apple’s new project includes making an electric car for customers, two people familiar with the initiative said, asking not to be identified because the plans of Apple are not public. The objectives of the firm to create a personal vehicle for a wide range of customers conflicts with competitors such as the Alphabet’s Waymo, which has designed Robo-taxis for autonomous vehicles ride-hailing service to carry passengers.

Apple had recently announced to ban a few apps from the App Store if they do not comply with upcoming privacy standards. According to the reports, Apple’s new App Tracking Transparency protocols have already been delayed to give developers more time to address potential privacy issues, but it seems likely that this will not be enough to ensure that all applications are compliant.
Apple’s senior vice president Craig Federighi of software engineering said that users will soon be able to choose whether they allow advertisers to track them across different websites and apps.
