NEW DELHI: The death toll of the deadly Hindu-Muslim clash has reached 53 in India.
In this regard, the Delhi police have registered 254 FIRs and arrested 903 people so far for deadly Hindu-Muslim violence broke out in New Delhi.
A week after violence first erupted in Northeast Delhi, after Hindu extremists on 24th February attacked people protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act which continued for three days in which mosques, cars, houses and other properties of Muslims were burnt.
Some officials said that police were still searching bodies in drains and homes that were burnt down.
The Delhi state government had also announced a grant of Rs 5,00000 for fully burnt houses and mosques and Rs 2.5 lakh for partially damaged homes.
India is facing mounting international criticism for failing to protect minority Muslims in their country.
