KARACHI: Another power breakdown hit several areas of Karachi last night as a high tension (HT) transmission line tripped due to ‘technical fault’.
Reports gathered by MM News revealed that almost 40 percent of the Metropolis plunged into darkness as a high tension (HT) transmission line tripped, putting several grid stations out of order.
According to reports, the power breakdown affected several neighbourhoods of the city, including Numaish Chowrangi, Saddar, Lines Area, Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Punjab Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Korangi and other areas.
K-Electric, the utility company responsible for electricity supply in the metropolis, has not issued any statement yet except for the single liner statement that “team are fully mobilised and restoration process.”
