ZHOB: Another new case of poliovirus has been reported in a 2-year-old girl from Balochistan raising the total tally of cases in the province to five this year.
The girl was diagnosed with the poliovirus due to the non-administration of the polio vaccination. Five cases of positive polio cases have been reported in the province in the ongoing year.
A 20-month-old child also fell victim to the poliovirus in Sikandarabad union council of Balochistan’s Dera Murad Jamali. It emerged that the child had been administered anti-polio drops thrice. The sample of the child was taken on January 3 which confirmed the presence of the infection.
on January 25, a polio case was detected in a 3.5-year-old child in village Yousuf Jatt of Union Council Kothi in Sujawal.
Almost 80 percent of the parents deny administering anti-polio drops to their children in UC Habib Zai of Qila Abdullah in Chaman.
