KARACHI: A further 32 deaths and 1,511 new cases have been reported in Pakistan due to the coronavirus.
According to the National Command and Control Center, the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 12,804 while the total number of affected people has reached 577,482.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 43,032, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 71,728, Sindh 257,408, Punjab 170,222, Balochistan 19,035, Azad Kashmir 10,101 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,956.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 5,323 people lost their lives while 4,322 died in Sindh, 2,065 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 496 in Islamabad, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 200 in Balochistan, and 296 in Azad Kashmir.

Coronavirus vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the first phase, health workers are being vaccinated against the virus, while people above the age of 63 have also been vaccinated. Adult vaccination centers have been set up across the country and the entire vaccination process will be controlled by digital mechanisms.
For the first phase of vaccination, 189 vaccination centers have been set up in Punjab and 14 in Sindh, while 280 vaccination centers have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 in Balochistan, and 14 in Islamabad. Vaccination will be carried out through 25 centers in Azad Kashmir and 16 centers in Gilgit-Baltistan.
