Animal featuring Ranbir Kapoor has achieved a remarkable feat by entering the ₹200-crore club within just 3 days of its release.
At Rs 113.12 crore, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has become the second-fastest to reach the Rs 100 crore mark in Hindi net, surpassing ‘Jawan’, which achieved a Hindi net collection of Rs 111.73 crore. Meanwhile, ‘Pathaan’ continues to maintain its first position with a total Hindi net collection of Rs 123 crore within the same two-day timeframe.
According to a Sacnilk report, on day 3, the film added ₹72.50 crore to its tally, with ₹64.80 crore contributed by its Hindi version and ₹7.70 earned by south Indian languages. In total, the movie has collected ₹203.57 crore so far.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the movie also features Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, and Shakti Kapoor. The movie showcases a violent world set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir’s Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor.
Animal revolves around a troubled father-son relationship, set in the backdrop of intense action and bloodshed which turns the son into a violent psychopath. The film follows the story of Ranvir, a conflicted young man whose loyalty to his formidable gangster father Vijay clashes with his own moral principles. When Vijay becomes the target of a rival gang, Ranvir faces a pivotal choice: either stand by his father’s criminal world or reject it entirely. This decision sets off a chain of events that has lifelong repercussions.
Ranbir Kapoor starrer is scheduled 6 to 8 weeks post its cinematic debut, with the film becoming available for streaming on Netflix. Now reportedly, the OTT version is expected to be 30 minutes longer than the original runtime.
