RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) intelligence wing halted a drug smuggling bid and recovered millions of rupees worth of heroin from Gujar Khan which was hidden in the cargo boxes.
According to the sources, the ANF has detained five people involved in the case, while yet the case has not been registered against the criminals.
As per sources, the accused Pervaiz Butt, a resident of Mirpur, had booked the consignment last night at the cargo center in Gujar Khan. while Police seized goods, including heroin and shifted them to Anti-narcotics headquarter Rawalpindi.

On the other hand, more than 16 hours have passed since the NFF proceedings but the case has not yet been registered, nor ANF has taken any position in this regard.
Earlier on January 2020, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 142 kilograms of opium on Wednesday from two vehicles at GT Road, Islamabad.
According to details, the ANF team raided two vehicles at the GT Road and recovered 84 kilograms of opium and 58 kilograms of hashish.
