Amazon Prime denies casting Hasan Khan to play Sushant Singh

KARACHI: Amazon Prime Video has denied reports of casting Pakistani actor Hasan Khan in a web series to play a role on the life of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who committed suicide due to depression.

The report claims that a brief statement issued by Amazon Prime Video states that the company is not making any web series on the life of Sushant Singh with Hasan Khan.

News recently circulated on social media that the Amazon Prime Video will soon start making a web series on the life of Sushant Singh Rajput and it will cast a Pakistani actor. The news was also shared by Hasan Khan on his Instagram account announcing that he would be seen playing the role of a Bollywood actor.

Hasan Khan took to Instagram and shared the news. He mentioned in his post that he is very excited to be a part of this project, provided that it is something very close to his heart.  

Sushant Singh Rajput died of suicide by hanging himself in his Mumbai apartment on 14th June 2020. Although the police ruled the cause of death as suicide, the family of the late 34-years-old actor had filed a case against his ex-girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty.
