All encroachments should be treated equally according to law: Mazari

ISLAMABAD: Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari has said that all the encroachments should be treated equally according to law.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Mazari wrote that during a meeting held earlier, the cabinet once again had directed Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take immediate action against encroachments.

Yesterday Cabinet was given briefing by CDA of all encroachments and unauthorised construction in different sectors of Islamabad. Cabinet again reiterated & directed CDA to take immed action against encroachments esp in National Park Area.

In another tweet, the federal minister wrote, “PM categorical that all encroachments by individuals and organization to be treated equally according to law.”

According to Mazari, the cabinet message is absolutely clear to CDA. “Elite capture must end,” she maintained.

She also added that she is waiting for CDA and Islamabad Administration now to do needful especially where notices have been served repeatedly and ignored.
