Famous musician and actor Ali Zafar said on Saturday that the issue of bullying needed to be addressed while sharing his personal experience as the video of a girl being tortured by her classmates at an elite private school in Lahore went viral on social media.
It is worth mentioning that earlier a video of a girl being tortured by her class fellows at an elite private school in Lahore had gone viral on social media, prompting authorities to take notice and launch an investigation.

The video footage, which was shared numerous times on Twitter on Friday, shows two to three teenage girls holding the alleged victim by the hair and pinning to the ground. The girls could be heard verbally abusing the alleged victim and telling her to “say sorry”.
Another girl could be seen recording a video of the episode on her mobile phone.

“I think at some point in life we have all felt bullied as it comes in different shapes and forms. My first remembrance of being bullied was in NCA, on the day of my admission interview. I came from a middle-class background and I had brought big paintings I had made as portfolio,” Ali said.

The well-known singer offered to model for a photoshoot and mentioned that he had just been seen sitting in the PC lobby. “For the shot, my hair was first bleached and then colored burgundy. My father handed me his double-breasted checkered jacket after advising that I wear something formal to the admissions interview,” he went on.
“I don’t want to mention the girl who sat next to me and began to make fun of my hair and jacket. She was maybe a year my senior. She seemed to have been able to make fun of me and damage my self-esteem right before the interview because of her affluent upbringing. Her words were memorable,” he said.
