Singer Aima Baig has responded to Shiraz Uppal, who called out her for her recently released song ‘Funkari’, saying he wrote and composed the song.
Baig in a story that she posted on Instagram indirectly hinted at him. As per her story, do whatever you (Shiraz Uppal) want as you won’t get anything from it.
Her post was shared online where people were placing different opinions of her reaction and that’s where she posted a comment in which she said that she never said that she solely did her.
“That’s sad, every time you guys misquote things. He’s the composer and producer of the song it’s already mentioned in the credits,” she said by adding, “So facts are facts and nobody lied to anyone we all together made the song.”
She also urged everyone to just enjoy the song as its music at the end of the day, not a war. While praising Uppal, Baig said that she truly respects Shiraz sir since, the very first day. According to Aima Baig, he is an asset to our country let’s not fire things up by spreading wrong information.
Uppal’s reaction comes after Baig claimed that she had co-written the track with late singer Shakeel Sohail. In a note released on his Instagram stories, said, “Recent statement given by Aima Baig to Dawn Images about the fact that she and (late) Shakeel Sohail have written the song Funkari, has been misquoted by her. She forgot to give the due credit that was already mentioned by Universal Music India on her YouTube credits.”

Uppal added that Funkari was ‘written, composed, and produced’ by him. As per Aima Baig Official’s YouTube page, Funkari is sung by Baig, and written and composed by Uppal. Earlier in an interview with Dawn Images, Baig said that she and Shakeel Sohail started writing Funkari three years ago in Ramadan. It was Shakeel’s last song.
On July 12, Funkari was released. More than 5 lakh people have already viewed the lovely song. The song’s creators claim that it reflects the “essence of longing and emptiness created due to a loved one changing their values.”
