Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat’s activist gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: An activist of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, was killed in an armed attack in Manzoor Colony area of the metropolis.

According to police sources, unidentified armed men entered a house and opened fire on a 35-year-old man, Zahid. As a result, he suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Police further stated eight bullet shells were found at the scene. The accused managed to escape easily after the murder, police added. However, the police started a further probe into the incident.

On the other hand, the spokesman of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat said the victim was his activist and worked as secretary information in Mahmudabad town. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities.
