KABUL: The Taliban government in Afghanistan has strongly reacted to the statement about the involvement of Afghan elements in terrorism incidents taking place in Pakistan.
The reaction came from the Taliban government after PM Aanwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said the incidents of terrorism increased after the Kabul takeover.
In a statement issued by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, it was said that just as the Islamic Emirate desires peace in its country, Afghanistan, it also wishes for peace in Pakistan. They said that the Islamic Emirate does not permit anyone to use Afghanistan’s land against Pakistan. However, the responsibility for establishing peace within Pakistan does not lie with the Islamic Emirate. They should resolve their internal issues themselves and not blame Afghanistan for their failures.
They have stated that the increase in incidents of lawlessness in Pakistan after the Islamic Emirate’s victory in Afghanistan is not evidence that Afghanistan is behind it. According to them, the weapons in Afghanistan are secure, and they are not in the hands of any irresponsible party. Arms smuggling is prohibited, and measures against all illegal activities have been taken.
Zabihullah Mujahid stated that Afghanistan desires good relations with Pakistan as a brother and neighbor. However, Pakistan should also acknowledge the goodwill of the Islamic Emirate.
