KARACHI: Renowned Pakistani actor Farhan Aly Agha who recently joined politics has unveiled the purpose for joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
The actor turned politician took in an interview on Twitter expressed that he wanted to work for the welfare of the people. He also said that in politics there are people who protect their interests while those who work for the welfare of the country.

Farhan Ali Agha shared that he will always support those who work for the welfare of the people. “That is why I have decided to be part of the PTI under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he maintained.

It may be recalled that earlier the Pakistani actor while expressing his commitment to serve the people, announced his joining the PTI. Last month on 28th December 28, he had joined the party.
Earlier in a press conference, the renowned actor had said that the PTI needs honest and good people in its fold. Agha further said that Pakistan was passing through a difficult phase at the moment, adding that it was the best time to use the PTI’s platform to achieve something commendable for Pakistan.
“This is my first step into politics. However, the love I hold for this country is quite old,” he said, adding, “We will take Pakistan forward, the PTI considers it a mission to serve the masses,” the actor concluded. Agha became a household name in the 1990s. He has starred in many famous Pakistani drama serials, such as Sadqay Tumhare, Deemak, and Tere Baghair.
