Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor received intense criticism for his statement about four marriages, prompting him to issue an apology through a video on social media.
According to national media, Danish Taimoor is currently engaged in a Ramadan transmission on a private TV channel. This week, his wife, actress Ayeza Khan, appeared as a guest on the show, where the actor made a statement about four marriages.
The actor said, “I am permitted by Allah to have four marriages. I am not doing it ‘for now,’ that’s a different matter.” The words “for now” and his statement about four marriages sparked criticism from fans and social media users, prompting the actor to apologize.
Danish Taimoor shared a video on his Instagram account in which he said, “I know you all are upset with me. Some of my fans think that I disrespected my wife, Ayeza, but that’s not the case. I love my wife. Perhaps my choice of words was not right. I often use the phrase ‘for now,’ which refers to the present situation.”
He further added, “I believe we will all die one day. Alhamdulillah, I have never been involved in any controversy in my life. This matter should be put to rest. When my intention and heart are not in such a place, there is no point in escalating the issue.”
He concluded by saying, “If people feel hurt by my words, I apologize. I don’t want to upset you. I have dedicated my life to entertaining you, and I want you all to be happy, just as I am happy with my wife and children at home.”
