GUJRANWALA: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and singer Abrar ul Haq’s nephew sustained injuries after the family’s car crashed into concrete blocks due to dense fog near Gujranwala on Sunday.
According to sources, Abrar ul Haq, his nephew and other family members were in the vehicle when it crashed into concrete blocks placed on road near Gujranwala’s Gakhar Mandi. However, Haq and other family members remained safe in the incident, sources added.
The nephew of the singer was shifted to hospital for medical attendance where he has been declared to be out of danger. The dense fog continued to blanket plain areas of Punjab, disrupting the road traffic in many cities and paralyzing routine life.
According to the motorway police statement, thick fog has enveloped several cities of Punjab, including Lahore due to which visibility has dropped below 50 metres on main roads across the province.
The Lahore-Samundri Motorway section (M3) and Pindi Bhattian Motorway section have been closed for all kinds of traffic as visibility was very low.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at a very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to zero due to dense fog. The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary traveling.
