KARACHI: The heirs of renowned TV anchor Aamir Liaquat Hussain have refused to conduct a postmortem of the deceased while funeral prayers and burial of the former host will be held today.
In her message on the photo-sharing platform Instagram, Syeda Bushra Iqbal, the ex-wife of a Member of the National Assembly, said that the funeral prayers of her ex-husband would be offered on Friday, June 10, after the Friday prayers.
According to the Instagram message, the funeral prayers of Aamir Liaquat Hussain will be offered at 2 o’clock in the day at the Jamia Masjid Abdullah Shah Ghazi (may Allah have mercy on him) located in the Clifton area of Karachi. Burial will be on the shrine premises.
According to the message, both Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s heirs Ahmed Aamir and Dua Aamir have refused to perform an autopsy on their father. The deceased will be taken to the last resting place with honor and respect.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s ex-wife Dr. Bushra Iqbal requested the people to offer prayers for forgiveness for the Member National Assembly. He himself prayed for the high ranks of Aamir Liaquat.
Earlier, angry Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) National Assembly member and TV host Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away. A few days before his death, Aamir Liaquat had announced to leave the country.
Yesterday, an employee of National Assembly member and TV host Aamir Liaquat Hussain confirmed his death, saying that Aamir Liaquat Hussain had a heart attack at night, but he refused to go for treatment.
