Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan on Friday announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare in a social media video.
They shared a clip from Italy, where the couple is currently staying. Ira posted the video in which Nupur proposed to him on one knee and Ira immediately accepted.
Taking to Instagram, the couple shared a post announcing that they were engaged after over two years of dating.
“Popeye: She said yes 🥰❤️ Ira: Hehe☺️🤭😋 I said yes.”

Nupur shared a couple of photos on his Instagram story. He captioned one, “She said yes,” and with another photo, he wrote, “Ironman had a special spot jahan humara roka hua, get it? (Ironman had a special spot where we got engaged, get it?” This was in reference to the board that was right between Nupur and Ira as they got engaged.
Ira can be seen in the video standing with other spectators in the audience. Nupur approaches her and gives her a nice kiss before shocking her by kneeling down. The next question is, “Will you marry me?” Ira cheerfully accepts the microphone and responds, “Yes.” While others applaud and shout, the couple kisses once more. Ira shared the moment, “Popeye: She acknowledged. Ira: Hehe I said yes (sic).”
