ISLAMABAD: Head of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and federal minister Asad Umar has said that the Moderna vaccine will be jabbed to those going abroad on special visas.
In a message on Twitter, Asad Umar wrote that Moderna vaccine would be given to Pakistanis traveling abroad on educational or work visas. “Received 2.5 million doses of Moderna sent by US govt. This will particularly those who have to travel for work or study to countries that are only accepting certain vaccines . @POTUS @JoeBiden progressive policy on covid is much-appreciated @SecBlinken,” he tweeted.

Asad Umar said that the moderna vaccine would be given only to those citizens where only certain vaccines were acceptable, while the US progressive policy on corona was commendable. Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said that Pakistan had received 2.5 million doses of Moderna vaccine from the United States.

Earlier, 2.5 million doses of the modern US-made vaccine Coronavirus arrived in Pakistan under the COVAX batch. A consignment of 2.5 million doses of Moderna vaccine arrived at Islamabad International Airport yesterday. The United States has donated 80 million doses of the vaccine worldwide to ensure access to effective vaccines globally.
