The notification shared by the Sindh Education Minister said that NAB categorically rejected the allegations leveled against Saeed Ghani by NAB and clarified that NAB was investigating him in Karachi. The NAB notification on July 1 clarified that after the permission of the competent authority against Haleem Adil Sheikh, the NAB is investigating the complaint in Karachi and the inquiry is underway.
The shared notification further said that Saeed Ghani stated that NAB transferred the case of Haleem Adil Sheikh from Anti-Corruption Sindh to NAB Karachi which is completely baseless, fabricated, and contradicts the facts.
According to the notification, Anti-Corruption Sindh had transferred the case of Haleem Adil Sheikh to Senior Member Board of Revenue Sindh on July 16, 2020, which is part of the record. NAB has decided to send legal notice to Saeed Ghani.
The notification further described the excellent performance of NAB and said that eradication of corruption from the country and a corruption-free Pakistan is the top priority of the bureau.
Earlier, Ghani had openly challenged the NAB, saying that the allegations of land grabbing against Haleem Adil Sheikh were correct, adding that the NAB chairman should not arrest the PTI leader, he added.
Yesterday, the Sindh Education Minister sharply criticized the NAB and said that the opposition leader was demanding the arrest of Sindh leader Haleem Adil Sheikh. He said that the NAB chairman was getting upset with him.
