Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently claimed that despite being the highest tax-paying actress in India she is unable to pay half of her last year’s tax due to ‘no work’.
Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen in the 2020 movie ‘Panga’, took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “Even though I come under highest tax slab pay almost 45 percent of my income as tax, even though I am the highest tax-paying actress but because of no work haven’t paid half of my last year’s tax yet, first time in my life.”
It should be noted that back in 2019, Forbes India, in its annual Celebrity 100 list ranked Kangana on the 70th position. The Forbes India Celebrity 100 List rankings were based on estimates of earnings through professions and endorsements of celebrities and estimates of their fame.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana is waiting for the release of her movie “Thalaivi” which was earlier scheduled to release in April 2021, but was delayed due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, leading the cinema halls to remain shut. Apart from this she also has ‘Tejas’, ‘Dhaakad’, and ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda’ in the pipeline.
