KARACHI: Wedding Hall Owners’ Association has announced that the halls will not be closed from 20th November.
The Wedding Hall Owners Association said that the decision will not be reversed as the wedding halls remain closed for six months. Millions of jobs are linked to wedding halls, according to the association.
The association has said that halls have received worth millions in advance. Hall owners are following all the SOPs and will do more but the halls cannot be closed, the association maintained.
A few days ago, instructions regarding marriage halls were issued by the National Command and Operations Center. The NCOC had said that guidelines for wedding ceremonies would be implemented in certain areas of certain cities from 20th November.
Marriage guidelines will be implemented in seven cities of Punjab and two cities of Sindh. Guidelines were issued in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The wedding should be held and the venue chosen in consultation with the local health authority. Indoor weddings were banned and only outdoors were allowed.
According to the NCOC, marriages were not allowed in the marquees. The use of canopy tents in outdoor weddings was also banned. Atleast 1000 guests will be able to attend the outdoor wedding ceremony and it has been declared mandatory to keep a distance of 6 feet between the participants.

The host of the wedding will be responsible for the implementation of Corona SOPs. The duration of the ceremony will be 2 hours and the ceremony will end at 10 pm. Every guest will have to wear a mask. The host will provide masks and sanitizers to each guest attending the wedding.
