KARACHI: The law-enforcement agencies today (Saturday) have arrested an Afghan-trained terrorist of Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) in Karachi’s Gadap District.
According to details, the district police along with other law-enforcement agencies carried out a targeted operation on a tip-off and arrested Saeedullah alias Chhoti Dunya, a key member of Al-Qaeda in the subcontinent.
The police spokesperson informed that the terrorist, Saeedullah alias Chhoti Duniya, was an expert in planting any kind of bomb. The arrested terrorist was being questioned about his accomplices.
The police have also recovered four kilograms of explosives, five detonators, and their cables, and weapons from the possession of terrorist. Police have registered a case against him under other provisions including terrorism.
Earlier on August 20, law-enforcement agencies foiled a terrorist attack in Karachi after two most-wanted terrorists, belonging to a banned outfit, were killed.
The Rangers and CTD conducted an intelligence-based joint operation in the metropolis’ Baldia Town where the alleged terrorists were killed.
